Test upload of 4K file rendered with Vegas Pro 14.

Trying out the slow motion capabilities of the Sony RX10 IV camera on the serpentine belt at the alternator and power steering pump on the C5 Corvette Z06. I wanted to see how well it would slow things out so I could inspect the belt as it moves on the pulleys.

I think this could be right handy at times. The 960 frames per second wasn't anywhere near as bad as I thought it might be. Just need enough light, I guess.

My wife woke me up early this morning (8:00 am 06-14-2013) all excited about a bear walking across the yard. So I jumped out of bed and grabbed the camcorder. Sorry the video is kind of jumpy, but there was a LOT of white meat on me available for the yellow flies to chew on while I was preoccupied holding the camcorder. :) Obviously the bear knew it was trash pickup day, as he sniffed our garbage can on the way out the driveway, looking for some goodies to eat. Luckily ours didn't pass his sniff test.

I was talking to a friend of mine yesterday and he asked me if I saw the meteor that passed overhead Saturday night. Funny he said that as the wife and I were watching a movie and we both noticed a flash of light outside the window. We just thought that maybe there was a thunderstorm nearby.

So after talking with him, I checked the outside cameras and sure enough, it showed something bright had passed overhead. Unfortunately the camera wasn't pointed in that direction nor high enough (facing roughly northwest), but I would definitely see the ground and trees light up from something obviously very bright passing overhead.

Since the outside camera uses a low frame rate, I show a slower version of the passage towards the end of the video. Too bad it's not showing color, but the IR used at night won't do that. And it was too quick for the camera to switch back to daylight mode, apparently.

I'm a raw novice at this rc quadcopter stuff, so I decided to get the little Hubsan to learn on and see if I really wanted a larger and more expensive unit. It's not bad for what it is. All manual with no stabilization of the unit or video. I guess the video isn't bad for the price and at least gives me an idea of what to expect. This is only the fourth flight I have tried and I'm a LOT better than I was during the first flight. Haven't tried flying FPV yet, but I'll be giving it a try soon.

Well, if you ever wonder what people do for fun in Wakulla County, Florida, this will give you some idea. I believe this is what is called a "Pig Scramble". There was also a sort of show and grade for pork chops, ham, and bacon suitability earlier too.

The pigs were oiled up as were the hands and arms of off the people engaging in this contest, but it probably would have been more challenging if those pigs were hairless.

Maybe Connie and I will even go the the Sopchoppy Worm Grunting festival this Spring. No, I am NOT kidding about that festival name. Seriously, there are people around here who would actually put "Worm Grunter" on their resume.

This didn't turn out at all like I thought it would, but heck, I had settings wrong, and the full moon screwed up the GoPro nightlapse anyway. But it's so darn STRANGE looking that I decided to post it anyway.

Found this guy just hanging on a tree keep an eye on the bird feeders hoping for someone unwary enough to become a meal. So had to catch him and relocate him out in the national forest to keep the birds safe. The noise in the background is a road crew cutting the limbs overhanging our road.

Trying out the video capabilities of this new P900 I just got. Using the zoom at right around 2000mm, hand held with me leaning against part of my porch as a steadying brace. Wish this camera did 4K, but this 1080P isn't too bad at all.

I guess these critters know they are safe around here even with Thanksgiving right around the corner.

Cruisin Corvettes club in Tallahassee had a show at the local Chevy dealership and it was a pretty good turnout. Weather was perfect! About 80+ cars showed up.

I guess this possum believes I am growing those peaches just for him. I wouldn't mind quite so much if he hadn't broken off most of the new growth branches getting to the peaches. We have another tree next to this one that will have the peaches ripening in another week or so. Guess I really need to get rid of this possum real soon.

Obviously the live trap is not proving to be effective. Perhaps this is one I have trapped before and he found his way back and knows better than to go inside one again.

Looks like a young one. Saw him(?) outside the back window of the house working on a dead and rotted branch on the live oak tree out there. Was taken through window glass, but didn't turn out too bad.

It's unusual to see one of these little birds sitting still for more than just a few seconds, so this one seemed to be watching me as much as I was watching him. Then he grabbed a sunflower seed, and flew up to a branch in the fringe tree and worked at making a meal of it. Video taken with Sony RX10 IV in 4K.

Spotted this guy originally sleeping in the front yard, but as soon as it started to rain, he decided to head elsewhere. Video was taken using a Sony RX10 IV. Located in north Florida.

Been smelling wood smoke in the air for a while, so decided the best way to check things out was to send up the drone to see what was going on. Yeah, forest fire. Likely a prescribed burn, as they do that in the Spring months around here. Not too close to be of any concern. But seeing burnt pieces of tree matter falling in your yard does get you a bit apprehensive.
